Optical Sorter - SOL

Sorting machine specially developed for the optical grading of peeled potatoes on defects, colour, size, shape and waste. This machine consists of a dosing unit, a roller belt, a camera unit and a pneumatic ejection zone with two exits. Furthermore, this machine has been designed to meet the following specifications:

• Product diameter: 30 - 80 mm

• Product lenght: Max. 100 mm

• Max. 7 types of defects can be programmed to grade on

• All defects are measured in percentages of the total scanned surface

• Diameter of the potato is based on the average of the 14 images taken per potato

• Length of the potato is based on the maximum detected length of the 14 images taken per potato.

Please note:

This machine is not equipped with a roll spraying/cleaning system.
Furthermore, potatoes with a diameter/length smaller than 25 mm should be taken out before the products enters the optical sorter in order to prevent contamination.
A potato can always be overlooked. In this case, this unscanned potato will go towards the overflow and from there back to the repeel.
